I would like to applaud the 110 churches out of our 116 churches in the Shawnee Valley District who paid 100% of their District askings in 2015. Your support of mission and ministry helped the District to do some wonderful things in the name of Christ at home and beyond. THANK YOU TO THE CHURCHES IN THE SHAWNEE VALLEY DISTRICT, who contributed over $5,500 to the Fall Mission Call.  This year's Fall Mission Call offering supports the children in our District who have a parent(s) who are incarcerated. We will be working with the Prison Fellowship Ministry and their Angel Tree Program to make sure that our churches reach out with a gift at Christmastime to these children. Isn't summer considered the slow time of the year?  Not where ministry and Mother Nature is concerned!  As you know, rainfall has been plentiful the last few weeks and many areas have succumbed to extreme flooding.  Jackson County, in the Shawnee Valley District, as well as many other counties in Ohio have needed emergency assistance to get the flood waters out of homes.  Our teams have responded and ministered to the families in several areas.  Read Thank You... continue reading
