Greetings and welcome to the Shawnee Valley District of The United Methodist Church. Thank you for stopping in and we are delighted to have you checking out our website. On behalf of our churches, laity, pastors, and district support staff we want to share with you a snapshot of God’s mission and vision for the Shawnee Valley District of the United Methodist Church, the West Ohio Conference.

Our Vision:  Influencing our local communities and the world so that the love and faith of Jesus will be made know. (By developing faithful, effective spirit-filled lay and clergy leaders).

Our Mission: To make Disciples for Jesus Christ for the Transformation (Conversion) of the World.

In the Shawnee District this is being accomplished through…

• The Board of Ordained Ministry (Enlisting and credentialing set-aside, and called-out servant leaders)
• Prison Ministry (Jesus calls them 'the least of these')
• Next Generation Leadership (God’s future and hope)
• Equipping Small-member churches for mission and ministry
• Training and Empowering Lay Servants
• Sowing Seeds in the Local Churches in order to aid in Emerging Mission and Strategic Ministry.

Please know that the Shawnee Valley District Administrator, Special District Coordinators, Missional Specialist and District Superintendent are here working together to make disciples for Christ; to train and equip all believers for the work of the ministry.
